I recently read an article in VIE Magazine about an amazing health food store in Blue Mountain Beach that I pass almost every day, but have never been in. Our own Lori Smith, who also lives near there, absolutely loves the store. It is called “For The Health Of It” and is located on 30-A right across the street from Sally’s By The Sea (2217 W. Hwy 30-A, to be exact).

For The Health Of It is owned by Ed Berry and Rachel Morgan, and have been in business since 1995. Rachel is a 3rd generation local store owner, with deep roots in farming. They are very knowledgeable about the products they carry, and are also seen as a resource in the community for questions on anything “green”.

Matthew Mayfield – When Matthew Mayfield’s previous band, Moses Mayfield, which signed with Epic Records when he was only 21, disbanded at the close of 2007, the Birmingham native decided to continue songwriting, recording and touring as a solo artist. He has since released eight EP’s, and his debut full-length album, “Now You’re Free,” will be released in the spring of 2011. His music has been placed in episodes of Grey’s Anatomy, which helped push his song “Better” to No. 1 on the iTunes Singer/Songwriter chart and “Man-Made Machines” to N. 2 on that very same iTunes chart. And it’s clear his music is catching the ears of serious industry professionals. During the 2010 SXSW Music and Media Conference, the music analytics website, Next Big Sound, ranked Matthew at #6 in it’s Top 10 list of artists with the fastest growing buzz in the industry.

This event is open to WaterColor residents, guests and the public and is free of charge. Dread Clampitt will be playing at Art in the Park in front of Chan’s Wine World in WaterColor from 3pm – 6pm

Artists are invited from all genres to be involved and feature mediums including but not limited to: Oil, Acrylic and Watercolor Paintings, Charcoal, Chalk, Pastel and Color Pencil Drawings, Photography, Printmaking, Digital Art, Glass Art, Jewelry, Fabric Art, Pottery, Wood Work, Fashion Design, etc.
