We sure are excited about this weekend’s upcoming MountainFilm at Watercolor. It’s hard to believe that this will be the 9^th year! The amphitheatre at Watercolor under the stars and illuminated trees against the backdrop of Western Lake is spectacular. And the best part is the weather will be absolutely perfect.

Airport Tour

August 12, 2009

 For many months we at The Premier Property Group have talked about, dreamed about, and speculated about the impact of the new Panama City Beach International Airport.  Today it was time to go take a first hand look at the progress and embrace the possibilities. 

Our hosts and sponsors for the reception held at the Riverhouse at Rivercamp, a St. Joe Development and the bus tour were McNeese Title, Cliff Cohen of the St. Joe Company, and Rick Koehnemann of the Panama City Airport Authority Board. 

The airport is currently 65% complete.  A major low cost carrier is to be announced in the next couple of weeks, but the board member outlined flight schedules that will include direct flights to Nashville that will end in Chicago, direct to Washington D.C ending in New York, and direct flights to Houston, Texas.  Rick also mentioned direct international service to London and Canada. 

Of special interest to everyone was an area reserved for private planes and hangers. 

It was a fun and informative trip giving our group added excitement and confidence about the growth potential in our market. The airport is scheduled to open in May of 2010.

Premier Properties Showcased in Tennessee

The Premier Property Group has another new venue for showcasing its luxury listings at THE Beach through its affiliation with one of Middle Tennessee’s largest real estate companies, Bob Parks Realty. 

A new “store front office” in downtown Franklin, TN, next door to the famed Franklin Theater, is opening soon.  The cutting edge office will give consumers easy access to real estate information using state of the art technology. 

Current and comprehensive information will be displayed on several large 52” flat screen monitors about the luxury beach homes available through The Premier Property Group as well as Bob Parks Realty’s listings. 

The monitors will operate 24 hours a day, and are visible from the sidewalk.  In addition, there will be interactive laptop computer stations inside for the clients’ use.

Spring

Spring is arriving to every corner of South Walton and this past weekend provided the perfect opportunity to check out area gardens and include a few fun cultural events.

 Watercolor’s Art in the Park had a beautiful day to showcase area artists.  I visited with several of my local friends and artists before checking out my favorite butterfly garden. Area garden designer Snookie Parrish introduced me to the New Zealand tea tree several years ago. The tree provides wonderful cuttings for dried arrangements that last for months.  This one is looking quite spectacular in the Watercolor garden.My next stop on Sunday was to check out the azaleas in full bloom at Eden State Gardens.  The park was the perfect spot for strolling through the last blooms of the camellia gardens. The mature azaleas in all of their glory among the ancient oaks of Eden are just one more amazing dimension of the beauty of South Walton.

 South Walton continues to attract newcomers recognizing its natural beauty and choices in lifestyle.  Our local real estate sales are on the rise this spring with a total of 41 pending residential sales along Scenic 30-A and 14 pending residential land sales.  It’s an exciting time to find your place in paradise!

“Beachexpert” Linda Miller worshipped at a packed Seaside Chapel service Sunday. Although the weather was warm and overcast, Scenic Hwy 30-A is full of happy families on the bike path that runs from Seagrove to Rosemary Beach. Spring Break season is in full force and locals are thrilled to have visitors back on the Beaches of South Walton. Friends from the Chapel brunched @ Fire Restaurant with Brenda in Grayton Beach.

The Premier Property Group on Scenic Hwy. 30-A is conducting a continuing education course, “90 Days towards Mastery”, in 12 sessions beginning January 29, 2009.  The Premier Property Group offers this course to their agents as part of their commitment to successful business planning and goal achievement.

The Premier Property Group opened its doors in June of 2007, with 9 agents.  Today we have grown to over 20 agents that occupy our newly appointed offices located on Scenic Hwy 30A at The Village of South Walton, just West of Rosemary Beach.  Our central location allows us to service all communities reaching from Destin to Panama City Beach.

Managing Broker Alda Sileo has been with the company since its inception and has been licensed in the State of Florida since 2000. Trained as a scientist, Alda has a unique blend of analytic and people skills.  She has served as Director of an independent college preparatory school, a chemistry and physics teacher, and has years of experience in sales, management and client services.  Moving to the Emerald Coast in 2000, Alda fulfilled a dream to live and work in paradise.  A graduate of the Realtor Institute, Alda takes great pleasure guiding others through the process of successful real estate investing.  Alda ranked as on of the top five sales agents at a previous brokerage for both 2004 and 2005.
